Questions
Does it work with my iPhone?
Yes. The adapter has Bluetooth LE, which is what an iPhone needs. Many cheap OBD2 adapters only have older Bluetooth that an iPhone cannot connect to. It works with Android phones too.
Will it work with my car?
Very likely, if it is a 12 V petrol car sold new in the EU from 2001 or a diesel from 2004. Those cars have the OBD2 port the adapter plugs into, usually under the dashboard near the steering wheel. On a hybrid it reads the engine side only. Fully electric cars show almost nothing, so it is not meant for them, and it does not fit 24 V trucks.
What can it read?
The standard OBD2 data every car shares: engine and emissions fault codes, and live data such as temperatures and sensor readings. Today the app does not read brand-only systems such as ABS or airbags, and it does not change any settings on the car.
When am I charged?
When you pre-order. Until it ships, you get the full price back just by asking.
How do refunds work?
Before it ships, email support@skanyx.com and we refund the full price. After delivery you have the EU right to withdraw: tell us within 14 days, we collect the adapter at our cost, and we refund the price.
Is that the final price? Will I pay customs?
The price you see is the final price. The adapter ships from Lithuania, inside the EU, so there is no customs charge on delivery.
I already have an OBD2 adapter. Do I need this?
Not if yours works. The SKANYX app works with standard ELM327 Bluetooth adapters (Bluetooth LE on iPhone). This bundle is for people who have none, or whose adapter will not pair.
