Volkswagen's training material for the EA288 2.0 TDI (Golf Mk7) adds that once the glow plug light comes on with the DPF light, the engine stops attempting regeneration and only a workshop can regenerate the filter with diagnostic software. Above a higher soot limit even that is refused and the filter has to be replaced.
Volkswagen Transporter T6 2.0 TDI (EA288)

Follow these steps to pinpoint the root cause of P2463:
